Elizabeth Jean Thomas

Our Founder and CEO, Ms. Elizabeth Jean Thomas is an accomplished, Rehabilitation Council of India certified Speech-language Pathologist & Audiologist, social entrepreneur, and champion of accessible early intervention for children with communication challenges. With a master’s degree in Audiology and Speech-language Pathology from Mumbai University and over 23 years of experience in the rehabilitation field, Elizabeth has specialized in communication problems in the pediatric population, especially children on the spectrum. She is a strong proponent of neurodiversity-affirming practices and family-led intervention models.

Elizabeth completed entrepreneurship programs from both IIM Bangalore and Stanford University and founded Phonologix Health Solutions, an award-winning assistive technology startup. Her dedication to her mission has earned her several accolades, including the Social Entrepreneur of the Year Award at the Womenpreneur Awards 2023, Visa She’s Next Grant, 2023, winner of the India chapter of She Loves Tech 2022, the largest global competition for women in tech, NCPEDP-MPHASIS Universal Design Award for Accessibility, 2021, and Stanford Seed Spark Program 2022 Top 6.Phonologix is incubated at NSRCEL, IIM, Bangalore

Elizabeth has been working with children and adults with communication disorders, especially Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Early Intervention program for Hearing Impairment as well as Voice Disorders and Motor Speech Disorders. She has worked extensively with individuals with Dysphagia and Aphasia secondary to TBI and stroke. She is certified in Oral Placement Therapy and takes a keen interest in pediatric cases with difficulties in feeding and swallowing. She believes in focusing on the strengths of a child and not on the weaknesses and is convinced that a little bit of patience and understanding can go a long way in tapping into their potential. She has been developing parent training modules and successfully implementing them.

Above all, Elizabeth believes in using technology for good and is passionate about empowering parents to help their children reach their full potential.

We have a team of RCI certified and experienced Speech Language Pathologists with Bachelors and Masters Degree in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology. They are trained in telepractice and keep upgrading their skills through professional certifications and training. We are also supported by a team of highly qualified allied professionals like Occupational Therapists, Special Educators, ABA therapists and Psychologists.
