Phonologix is an assitive technology venture which was launched to provide access to quality speech therapy services to every child or adult in need, irrespective of where they are located.
The rising prevalence of neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder and other conditions that affect a child’s speech, language, and communication skills has been a major cause of concern in recent years. Among the many challenges families of these children face, the enormous challenge of gaining access to competent providers and high-quality services is the most prominent. While there is already a significant shortage in urban areas, the problem is only exacerbated in rural and isolated areas. This is all very disheartening when a good prognosis depends on early identification and intensive treatment.
The idea of launching a platform for online speech therapy in India developed from the challenges we faced during our more than two decades-long clinical practice. Many of our clients, who wished to continue therapies with us even after moving to other countries, also influenced our decision to launch Phonologix, an online platform for providing Speech Therapy and other therapy services. We have been successfully providing online therapies to many children and adults across the globe. We are currently providing therapy in 10+ countries and have conducted more than 25,000 online sessions until now.
SPEECH ALLY:
We have launched an innovative e-learning platform, Speech Ally, to empower parents to contribute significantly to their child’s intervention. This first-of-its-kind platform is available as a web-based platform as well as Android and iOS apps. Speech Ally has hundreds of gamified activities for children to practice at home regularly and strategies for parents to use for the carry-over of skills. This platform, combined with our online therapy services, helps in early intervention from as young as 1 year of age.
Speech Ally also incorporated a clinical management system for easy scheduling and bookings, automated billing, easy documentation, and standardize the therapy process. It helps increase the productivity of therapists with the help of a readily available goal bank and hundreds of activities to choose from. Our mission is to mainstream children with communication disorders or delays by providing early intervention and quality therapy services. We strongly believe in the family as an equal partner in the treatment of an individual. We aim to provide a completely transparent and highly efficient treatment plan that is customized to the needs of each individual and administered by experienced and competent specialists, while at the same time empowering family/caretakers to be partners in the rehabilitation journey.
At Phono Logix, we follow Evidence-based intervention. We have incorporate the latest research-based intervention strategies into our therapy along with traditional therapy techniques. We believe in tech for good and leverage the power of technology in delivering effective therapy. Many international certification programs form the core of our therapy programs, and goals for each individual are carefully designed using these techniques. We use techniques of Oral Placement Therapy and Dynamic Temporal Tactile Cueing wherever necessary While devising our goal plan for early intervention, we use the Hanen Approach and Play Therapy strategies. We also use alternative and augmentative communication tools like Avaz with those clients who require AAC for communication.
